Responsibilities

Position Highlights:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management.
  • Recommend, participates in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
  • Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
  • Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Overview

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, and Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ are seeking a BC/BE full-time General Urologist. This opportunity is a chance to join a busy, well-established practice and work with a team of experienced urologists, and a robust support staff. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious physician to join a high-volume practice with a superb team of surgeons and advanced practice providers who serve the organization’s Northern most hospitals. The candidate will have both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at Jersey City Medical Center. The location of this role allows for easy access to New York City, Philadelphia, and the famous Jersey Shore.

NJ Paid Transparency

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $400,000 to $700,000 per year.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient/Outpatient responsibilities
  • 1:4 Weekly hospital Call
  • Detail oriented professional with strong communication skills and empathy and compassion for patients

  • NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ
