Overview
As the Client Service Leader you will ensure delivery of exceptional service to Gallagher’s clients by managing our client service teams. You will champion branch initiatives and drive our dominant priorities. Overview
The Director of Finance, Affinity is a key member of the Specialty finance team and is accountable to the CFO and Head of Affinity. The Director of Finance, Affinity is responsible for all aspects of financial management for the Affinity division. The position supports the development and execution of strategic growth plans, with an eye toward future, sustainable growth. S/he holds responsibility for the adherence to regulatory requirements and reporting of business performance to key stakeholders at the division and corporate level.

- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals responsible for implementation of financial controls, including managing budgets, forecasts and long-range planning.
- Monitoring program spending against approved budgets, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure regulatory and SOX compliance and adherence to internal Gallagher GAAP accounting and other reporting requirements.
- Responsible for the health and accuracy of Affinity financials including the Profit and Loss statement, Balance Sheet, trade accounting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting

About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
- FP&A, Investment Banking or Accounting background.
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree preferably in finance, accounting or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience at an insurance carrier.
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

How you'll make an impact
This position is responsible for managing agency and financial systems including Epic, Concur, JDE, etc. and related reporting tools. Key responsibilities include managing all testing, integration, conversion, support and reporting of financial systems. This role will also serve as key liaison to Applied Systems and other vendors for all finance and accounting aspects including product design, reporting and production support. Other essential functions include managing all system processes including production support for accounting issues and follow-up/tracking with Applied Systems, gathering/documenting reporting requirements based upon agency management system data and related systems, and proactively lead and coordinate tasks for conversions with the merger and acquisition integration team. Manages staff, providing direction, setting goals, and ensuring that overall department goals are attained.

About You
Required: Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance); Minimum of 8 years general accounting experience and/or minimum 6 years of insurance brokerage accounting experience required. Strong accounting process knowledge and understanding of G.A.A.P. Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills including advanced formula usage.
Preferred: Minimum 6 years supervisory experience preferred. Exceptionally strong analytical and problem solving skills.
