Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $340,000 to $402,000. Small Animal Primary/General Practice Position

Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time clinical-track position in Small Animal Primary/General Practice. The successful candidate will provide clinical services for small animal patients while teaching veterinary students on rotations in the Companion Animal Clinic. Qualifications

  • Maintains environment and supply inventory, including assuring the procurement of necessary supplies, equipment and expertise, and the timely delivery of needed care, and alerting administration of these needs in a timely manner.
  • Prepares the patient for the procedure and handles the preparation for the operating room including educating the patient before the surgery takes place and participates in patient handoff during times of transition.
  • Is engaged in helping to ensure that OR metrics, process improvement, work processes, providing solutions and action plans to reach departmental metrics and goals.
  • Assesses the patient's condition before a surgical procedure and works with a physician to develop the care plan for the patient during the surgery.

  • Demonstrates complete working knowledge of all mammography and bone density equipment.
  • Selects proper technical factors and positions patient properly to insure high quality radiographs that demonstrate appropriate anatomy and mammograms that meet MQSA standards.
  • Correctly identifies radiographs and mammograms with patient name and appropriate anatomical markings, insuring all paperwork is complete and correct prior to submission to radiologist.
  • Is able to function in both mammography and bone density modalities.
  • Prepares film release forms, copies films, or burns compact discs to release to patient or physician according to department policy and compliant with HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to assist Radiologist during needle placement procedures by adequately having prepared the room with all needed supplies in order to complete that exam. Follows universal precaution guidelines in handling the patients and specimens
  • Uses effective and positive communication skills when interacting with patients, families, medical staff and co-workers. Maintains a respectful and courteous attitude for the efficient delivery of care. Is friendly and courteous to all members of the health care team.
  • Insures understanding by using customer's name and smiling when communication to promote patient satisfaction. Is timely in response to customer's needs. Implements BVHA scripting to promote a culture of Service Excellence.

Required Qualifications

Psychology.The Experimental program is one of four doctoral programs in the School of Psychology.The Experimental doctoral program offers generalist training in research-based approaches to Psychology in several different research areas.The research area of specialization for this position is open.We are interested in candidates whose training backgrounds complement or enhance our current concentrations, including but not limited to expertise in memory, perception, social psychology, developmental psychology, and behavioral neuroscience.The Experimental Psychology doctoral program emphasizes research mentorship, diversity, and undergraduate and graduate teaching.Our faculty have established records of scholarship in the areas of memory, aging and cognition, sensation and perception, evolutionary psychology, health psychology, and social psychology.We aim to recruit applicants who will produce impactful research with the potential to secure extramural funding, and who
