Federal Account Manager
Trident Search
washington, dc
Compensation: 306.000 - 374.000

$340,000 OTE - DMV based: You must be based in the DMV area: District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia only.

A well-established Cyber Security software provider supporting U.S. Federal Civilian agencies is hiring a seasoned Federal Account Manager to own and grow an existing portfolio of government customers.

This role is built for a true federal seller — someone experienced navigating civilian agencies, managing long‑term programs, and driving renewals and expansion within complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.

You’ll inherit named accounts, focus on retention and growth, and act as a long‑term partner to your agencies rather than chasing transactional deals.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own a set of existing U.S. Federal Civilian accounts as the primary account lead
  • Drive contract renewals, option years, and expansion opportunities across assigned agencies
  • Build trusted relationships with program managers, CISOs, security teams, and contracting officers
  • Develop and execute multi‑year account plans aligned to agency missions and funding cycles
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and expand footprint across programs, bureaus, and components
  • Partner closely with customer success, technical, and product teams to ensure adoption and outcomes
  • Navigate federal procurement processes, pricing discussions, and contract structures with confidence
  • Proactively manage account health and renewal risk across long‑term government programs
  • Position the platform as a mission‑critical solution supporting compliance, security, and resilience

What They’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of federal sales or federal account management experience
  • Strong background selling or managing cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or enterprise SaaS solutions
  • Direct experience selling into U.S. Federal Civilian agencies (non‑DoD)
  • Proven success owning renewals and expanding existing federal accounts
  • Deep understanding of federal buying cycles, contracting vehicles, and acquisition stakeholders
  • Ability to operate comfortably with senior government decision‑makers and technical buyers
  • Consultative selling mindset focused on long‑term value, not short‑term transactions
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed

Why This Role Appeals to Federal Sellers

  • Named accounts with real ownership and long‑term customer relationships
  • Strong emphasis on renewals and expansion rather than pure net‑new hunting
  • Product aligned to real federal missions (security, compliance, operational resilience)
  • Cross‑functional support model built for federal programs
  • Stable, established vendor with a strong federal customer base

If you’re a Federal Civilian seller who values account ownership, credibility with agencies, and building long‑term programs — this is the type of role that rewards experience.

My client are open to both an Account Management background or a new business background but this hire must be someone who maintains long term relationships with customers, understands the multi faceted sales approach needed in the fed civilian market place and sees the bigger picture.

Please only apply if you have successfully sold Cyber Security or Cyber Risk platforms / offerings before.

$340,000 OTE, You must be based in the DMV area: District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virgininia only.

At JustWatch Media, we focus on programmatic and data-driven digital marketing for the global entertainment industry.

To be absolutely clear: this position is not about selling ad space on JustWatch.com or our apps. JustWatch Media leverages over 100 million audience profiles from our streaming guide users to power large-scale advertising campaigns across YouTube, Meta, and TikTok.

Over the past ten years, we have delivered more than 20,000 campaigns across YouTube, Meta and TikTok for 100+ clients, including nearly all major studios and streamers. These campaigns have covered more than 100 markets worldwide with budgets in the hundreds of millions.

  • A strong network within media and marketing teams, as well as senior leadership from studios, streamers and media agencies
  • A hands‑on mentality with a clear bias to action and a proven ability to close deals
  • Deep understanding of programmatic, data‑driven campaigns and how to position them with clients
  • Entrepreneurial drive, ambition and ownership to establish and expand our sales activities in the U.S.
  • Alignment with our values: constant learning, delivering results and creating value

What we offer you

  • An open‑minded and international team that loves to collaborate to reach our goals.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, 401(k) Plan, Short‑Term & Long‑Term Disability Insurance, and Life Insurance.
  • We believe in a permission‑less environment that lets us focus on delivering value without overcomplicating things.
  • We prioritise meaningful work over perks and believe that true fulfilment comes from intrinsic motivation, personal growth, and making a lasting impact.
  • We trust our skilled professionals to maintain a no‑nonsense attitude and create an environment that promotes innovation.
  • We are committed to helping you achieve your personal and professional goals, and we offer a collaborative and supportive environment to do so.
  • This opportunity is fully remote with occasional travel to client meetings. The primary office location is in the Los Angeles area, and there may be weekly to monthly in‑person meetings, though we remain remote‑first.

Salary: USD 180,000 - 250,000 (base salary, including commission, complies with the California Transparency Law. Final pay depends on qualifications and equity considerations).
