About the Role

As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Guitar Center Brand , you’ll play a critical role in analyzing business results, building financial models, and delivering actionable insights that guide strategic decisions across key business segments. You’ll collaborate with leaders at all levels and help drive financial performance across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and/or enhance financial models for reporting, reviewing results, and forecasting.
  • Perform variance analysis against forecast, budget or prior year.
  • Participate in the division month end close process.
  • Track expenses and review results with leaders.
  • Create financial reports and deliver summaries of findings to management.
  • Extract data from various databases and perform sophisticated analysis that results in actionable business insight.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical Skills:

Pay: $90,000 - $110,000/yr. dependent on background and experience. This position is not eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on the Company's performance. Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day accounting duties in AP, AR, cash management, payroll, FA, GL and other duties as assigned
  • Assist with the monthly close process by posting monthly journal entries, performing account reconciliations and ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Assist in maintaining regular contact and building solid working relationships with various groups to ensure a high level of customer service and work product
  • Assist on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with standard software solutions preferred, for example: QuickBooks Online, Xero, Netsuite, Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, Carta
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Education & Experience

Salary Range

Attivo offers a competitive base plus bonus, and opportunities for advancement. The starting salary range for Senior Accountant is approximately $100,000 to $115,000 per year plus bonus.

Role Overview

The Controller position owns all accounting functions at our clients and will be responsible for issuing client financial statements, including thoughtful and value-added fluctuation analyses, developing financial models, and managing departmental budgets and forecasts. The Controller also manages Attivo staff to own full-cycle month-end close, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and tax compliance. Experience with developing financial models from the ground up and establishing policies and procedures within a corporation is highly preferred. The ideal candidate has worked at or with early-stage start-ups and has a passion for helping companies scale and grow.

The position is part-time (20-29 hours per week), flexible/work from home. The position location is flexible/work from home, with preference given to candidates in the following cities where Attivo has an employee presence: San Francisco/Bay Area, Los Angeles/Southern California, New York City, Austin, and Boston.   • Manage all general accounting functions which includes performing month-end close process, eliminations & consolidations, preparing and booking journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly consolidated client financials including fluctuation analysis and budget vs actual comparisons
  • Direct activities related to efficient customer cash collection and vendor payments and overall cash management and cash forecasting
  • Build financial models to help clients manage cash and make intelligent and proactive operational decisions
  • Analyze company operations to identify operational and cost efficiencies and implement solutions
  • Create and manage KPI Dashboards
  • Manage general HR responsibilities, including payroll, processing employee onboarding & offboarding, and benefits management
  • Oversee client tax-related matters to ensure timely compliance
  • Lead annual financial audits, as required
  • Manage and mentor accounting teams across all clients

Requirements
