Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations; using m-mode, 2-D, 3-D, and Doppler techniques. Gives preliminary interpretation of study results to cardiologist.
  • Performs echocardiograms, and echos in the echocardiography laboratory, cardiac catheterization laboratory, intensive care unit, or ward units.
  • Assists physicians in obtaining transesophageal, intraoperative, and three-dimensional studies. Assists physicians in obtaining and recording data for research projects.

  • Proofreads the final official echo report before it is sent to medical records.
  • Participates in quality control and quality assurance on all ultrasonic equipment and instrumentation by recording and maintaining documentation for review. Maintains order and cleanliness of all equipment and work areas to ensure that all maintenance and infectious disease control guidelines are met.
  • Assists supervisor in the technical training of new sonographers and/or interns. Develops and maintains a teaching file system.
  • Assists in maintaining and ordering supplies as designated by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiology or related field.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI).
  • Basic Life Support Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science.
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, occasional sitting & walking, lifting of 30-35 lbs.
  • Pushing, pulling & moving stretchers and ultrasound machines.
  • Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate transducers, ultrasound equipment & computer keyboard.

  • Proficient in small parts, venous, and carotid ultrasounds and procedures requiring ultrasound guidance.
  • Ability to perform exams in Doppler, M-mode, B-scan and real time modalities.
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time under various conditions while acquiring diagnostic information.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area.
  • Ability to work independently to perform exams and will seek out assistance from others and supervisor as necessary.
  • Displays good judgment and works through a problem with creativity and remains focused and professional.
  • Responds to change and/or stats in work scheduling in a calm and appropriate manner.
  • Demonstrates cooperation with co-workers and management to ensure an atmosphere that is conductive to high quality patient’s care.

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures. Reporting to Gastrointestinal Oncology Clinical Research Manager, the Clinical Research Coordinator Associate – GI Oncology will be conversant in the goals, mission and priorities of the Institute, and utilize this knowledge to conduct clinical trials. We are seeking candidates with excellent interpersonal skills who are highly organized. Our staff run toward challenges, and you will have a demonstrated history of doing the same with a high degree of professionalism, initiative and flexibility. Responsibilities include assisting in clinical trials such as data entry, study kit preparation, and patient appointment scheduling.
Duties include*:
Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate studies from startup through close-out.
Determine eligibility of and gather consent from study participants according to protocol. Assist in developing recruitment strategies.
Coordinate collection of study specimens and processing.
Collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects. Manage research project databases, develop flow sheets and other study related documents, and complete study documents/case report forms.
Ensure compliance with research protocols, and review and audit case report forms for completion and accuracy with source documents. Prepare regulatory submissions, and ensure institutional Review Board renewals are completed.
Assemble study kits for study visits, monitor scheduling of procedures and charges, coordinate documents, and attend monitoring meetings with sponsors, acting as primary contact.
Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets and resolve billing issues in collaboration with finance and/or management staff.
Interact with the principal investigator regularly, ensuring patient safety and adherence to proper study conduct.
Ensure essential documentation and recording of patient and research data in appropriate files per institutional and regulatory requirements.
Participate in monitor visits and regulatory audits.

About the Role:
IQVIA’s In-Home Clinical Solutions team seeks a qualified and dedicated Mobile Nurse Practitioner to support patient care by delivering in-home diagnostic services. This per diem role involves traveling to patient residences to perform vaccine administration and other clinical services such as, but not limited to, first dose observation, medication administration, clinical monitoring, electrocardiograms, blood pressure checks, injections, phlebotomy and vital sign monitoring.
This is a per diem, travel-based role offering flexible hours, with no minimum monthly visit requirement. Referrals are assigned based on your geographic availability and program demand. IQVIA manages all scheduling and patient communication, allowing you to focus entirely on clinical care.
Position Details:

  • Per diem, mobile-based role with flexible scheduling

  • Paid hourly compensation that includes the appointment time and travel time to/from patient’s home. (2 hour minimum paid)
