Albany, NY

Job Description

Job Description

Local CDL-A Driver — Johnstown / Albany, NY | JOB CODE: LOCJNY

*** APPLY AT THE LINK BELOW — NOT THROUGH THIS JOB BOARD ***

Applications submitted through this board are NOT received and

will NOT be reviewed. You must use this link:

https://intelliapp.driverapponline.com/c/1541542?r=Toni.Williams&release_signature_screen_submit_without_signing=y&uri_b=ia_1541542_1954442384

Enter JOB CODE LOCJNY on your application so it routes to this

position.

------------------------------------------------------------

Here is the trade on this account, stated plainly: you give up

having your own assigned truck, and in return you sleep in your

own bed every single night. No touch freight, around $1,600 a

week, and you choose whether you work five days or six.

10 seats open.

THE POSITION

- Freight: dedicated grocery

- NO TOUCH freight

- Live unload

- SLIP SEAT operation — no assigned truck

- Approx. 2,200 miles per week

- Five-day or six-day work weeks — your choice

- Day shift and night shift both open

- Solo only (no team seats on this account)

PAY

- Mileage pay plus stop pay

- $10.00 for your first stop, $15.00 for every stop after

- $25.00 short haul pay on loads under 50 miles

- Average $1,600 per week

- Weekly pay

HOME TIME

- HOME DAILY

- Home daily on this account is specifically for slip seat

drivers — that is the arrangement that makes it possible

- Other home time options can be discussed depending on your

situation

SCHEDULE

- Five-day or six-day work week — your choice

- Day and night shifts both available

- Weekend work required

- ALL holidays are worked on this account

HIRING AREA

- Must live within 65 miles of ZIP 12095 (Johnstown, NY)

- Hiring across the Johnstown and Albany, NY areas — the radius

covers the Capital District, the Mohawk Valley and the

southern Adirondack foothills

STRAIGHT TALK ABOUT THIS ACCOUNT

Four things you should know before you apply. This is a slip seat

operation and that is not a footnote here — it is the whole

arrangement. You will not have an assigned truck. You take what

is ready when you come on shift, and if having your own truck is

important to you, this is not your seat and I would rather you

know that now. Every holiday gets worked on this account,

including the two everybody asks about. This is upstate New York,

so you are running real winter several months a year. And 2,200

miles a week while getting home daily means long days behind the

wheel, plus live unloads where you will sit and wait some of

those days. In exchange: you are home every single night, you

never touch the freight, every stop pays on top of your mileage,

short runs under 50 miles carry an extra $25, and you get to

decide whether you want five days or six. Drivers here are

averaging about $1,600 a week. If you can live without an

assigned truck, this is one of the few seats in this region that

pays regional money and still puts you home every night.

BENEFITS

- Medical, dental, vision, life insurance

- 401(k)

- Paid vacation on qualifying fleets

ORIENTATION

- Virtual orientation available, typically 30 minutes to 2 hours

- Road test and safety review required on select applications

------------------------------------------------------------

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Read these before you apply. If you meet them, you'll move fast.

If you don't, you'll save us both time.

AGE & LICENSE

- 21 years or older

- Valid Class A CDL

- Must have held a U.S. driver's license the last 12 consecutive months
