Summary:

The Med Surg Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units. Essential Work Functions:

  • Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor patient responses
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures
  • Document comprehensive patient information, including vital signs, medications, treatments, and care outcomes, in the medical record
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and social workers, to create and implement individualized care plans
  • Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing care based on acuity and clinical needs
  • Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed, including hand hygiene and PPE use
  • Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences, ensuring they are respected and integrated into the care plan
  • Facilitate discharge planning, coordinating with patients, families, and external resources to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home

Be the Best Hospice After Hours Admission RN You Can Be

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state is required, with an associate degree preferred. CPR certification is recommended (required for direct patient care in Georgia), along with prior experience in hospice, home health, medical-surgical, or population-specific nursing such as geriatrics or pediatrics.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and maintain reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and state-required liability auto insurance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems. The ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team is required.
  • This role involves regular physical activity, including lifting patients over 200 lbs with assistance, transporting supplies and equipment up to 20 lbs for distances of 500 feet, and frequent standing, walking, sitting, stooping, and reaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments and collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in alignment with regulatory requirements and the Case Management Recipe.
  • Maintains timely and accurate documentation, ensures care plans reflect current patient status, and communicates effectively with the care team to coordinate optimal use of resources, especially in complex or high-risk situations.

  • Registered Nurse license in state(s) practicing. Certified Hospice Nurse is preferred.
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in hospice, home health, general medical surgical, oncology or patient population specific
    (i.e.: geriatrics, pediatric, etc.) nursing.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all direct patient/family care team members, including nurses, social workers, hospice aides and counselors.
  • Ensure that all patient/family services comply with federal, state(s) and local regulatory requirements and with accepted
    professional standards.
  • Participate in the selection and evaluation of all direct patient/family care team members.
  • Participate in the orientation and ongoing education of staff and volunteers.
  • Assure that all initial assessments and required reassessments are conducted by qualified team members within required time
    frames.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation and review of the interdisciplinary plan of care for each patient/family.
  • Assure the 24-hour availability of nursing and psychosocial services to patients/families and coordinates "on-call" assignments.

The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Mobile SAF-IS Regional Program Specialist to support the Service to Armed Forces and International Services Division mission.  This position is regional, but also part of our mobile staff which requires meeting strict medical and security clearances prior to employment.  In this role worldwide deployment is a condition of employment. Mobile staff members typically deploy for 6 months at a time, approximately once every 18-24 months, and can be sent to any military base in the world. Relocation assistance is only available for current employees within a 50-mile radius within the division.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Manage and administer the delivery of American Red Cross services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans, and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures. Support the delivery of International Services programs and services. Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.  Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

Relationship Management and Community Outreach: Serves as the “face” of the Red Cross at assigned location. 

  • Builds strong relationships with military leadership, key organizations, and community leaders.
  • Cultivates relationships and partnerships with external constituents in the local community, including government organizations, corporate partners, civic organizations, and other community charitable and nonprofit agencies with the purpose of furthering the mission of the Red Cross. Outreach includes command meetings, education briefings, presentations, or information sessions
  • Builds community presence through enhancing marketing opportunities with local Armed Forces Network, utilization of social media platforms, and leveraging local base advertising opportunities to spread the Red Cross Mission and service.

Volunteer Management:  Manages a volunteer engagement program and cycle to enable delivery of all Red Cross programs and services on a military installation and in their local community. Manages Volunteers who will be the primary resource to administer the delivery of American Red Cross services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans, and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures.  When volunteers are unavailable, the manager is responsible in delivering the mission specific services.

  • Develop and implement local needs assessment and Volunteer Program Plan through utilizing process established by Volunteer Resources.
  • Recruits and trains leadership volunteers to support placement and supervision of staff and programs in the delivery of SAF/IS U.S. programs and services, Training Services, Disaster Cycle Services, and providing support to Armed Forces Blood Services.
  • Effectively utilize the Volunteer Connection Platform to manage, document, train, recognize and communicate with volunteers within the local footprint.

Service Delivery Management:  Ensures the consistent delivery of SAF and IS U.S. services to all clients in their area. 

  • Provides supervision of volunteer Service Delivery staff.
  • Coordinates services to military treatment facilities and VA hospitals through rehabilitation programs, material assistance, resiliency training and morale items and support. 
  • Ensures community outreach, to include command meetings and education briefings, presentations, or workshops
  • Ensures a strong military community outreach program and implementation of special events and projects in support of SAF/IS U.S. initiatives. 
  • Manages support services to military members and their families to include family follow-up information and referrals, and other related services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field is required; or related equivalent experience. 
  • 5 years minimum related experience in program management or related field is required. 
  • Requires strong computer skills.  Public speaking skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing are required. Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in an individual or team environment. 
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities is essential.   

Work Conditions:

Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. About the Role

We are seeking a Tech Lead to lead the technical design and implementation of AI Ops for a next-generation robotics platform. This role combines deep technical leadership and team management, centered on building robust data pipelines, training and evaluation orchestration, and model operations (MLOps/LLMOps) to support continuous learning and safe, scalable deployment across distributed robotic systems.

As the Tech Lead, you will design and oversee AI-driven operational capabilities—telemetry ingestion, observability, anomaly detection signals, and automated remediation—by building the pipelines and infrastructure that produce, validate, deploy, and monitor models. Your focus is on the systems that enable model development and iteration at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the technical design of end-to-end data and ML pipelines spanning high-throughput telemetry ingestion, streaming/batch processing, curated training/eval datasets, and reliable lineage and data quality.

  • Build the platform for reproducible ML at scale: training orchestration, distributed jobs, experiment tracking, model registry, and gated promotion flows that enable continuous learning.

  • Operate real-time inference safely with robust serving, progressive rollouts (canary/blue-green/shadow), A/B experiments, automated rollback, and strict SLOs.

  • Own CI/CD pipelines and release processes for ML and robotics software, including automated builds, testing, deployment orchestration, and integration with observability and rollback mechanisms.

  • Establish comprehensive ML observability—data/feature drift, performance monitoring, and incident automation with playbooks—integrated with robotics safety guardrails, auditability, and fail-safe design.

  • Partner cross-functionally with robotics software/hardware, ML research, product, and operations to align interfaces, feature contracts, compliance needs, and reliability KPIs across cloud/edge.

  • Mentor and grow senior engineers across core platform services, data and model lifecycle tools, and externally facing SDKs setting crisp technical direction, code quality bars, and review culture.

  • Engage customers & partners as the senior technical face of the platform clarify requirements, guide integrations, and translate learnings into the roadmap.
