A detailed-oriented, passionate and dynamic individual is needed to be an integral part of our post launch quality team, ensuring that we are continuously analyzing marketplace learnings to drive product and process improvements. In this position, you’ll experience unparalleled collaboration with many functions of the organization – Engineering, Customer Excellence, Marketing, Supply Chain, Creative, ID, Quality, Manufacturing and Senior Executives, offering you exposure and interaction rarely found in other roles in the organization. You’ll play a pivotal role in leading product and data analysis to determine reasons for returns, leveraging your learnings to drive sustainable solutions that provide measurable long-term improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer complaints and investigate field failures – translate learnings into actionable engineering and consumer-facing initiatives. You will represent the voice of the consumer and will coordinate corrective actions, follow-up, and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement of product quality, through reduction and prevention of non-conformances while defining and implementing metrics to evaluate the impact of continuous improvement initiatives
- Support suppliers in 8D responses and regular quality resolution update meetings, including written investigation reports and review supplier corrective actions
- Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, safety reviews, and review the manufacturing and test documentation to ensure customer quality requirements are met or exceeded
- View the entire consumer experience at a macro level to identify experience detractors and track product performance, communicating key learnings and developments to appropriate work flows for action
- Partner with SharkNinja’s Customer Excellence team to monitor consumer reception and sentiment in field.
- Leads input tracker meetings with cross functional teams. Discuss top issues and delegate actions to cross functional team
- Conduct critical analysis on engineering changes (ECN) to make sure changes have no impact on degradation of quality of product
- Tracks digital escalations and create accurate responses for customers to better understand our product
- Manage product health reporting and push for continuous five-star experience via iterative design improvements.
- Always strive for process efficiency – we value a go-getter who can make the most out of any situation and deliver impactful results
- Act as a product “expert” for cross-functional team member questions and concerns
- Present status of activities and special projects to senior management regularly
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in mechanical engineering, quality, product development, human factors engineering, or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company
- 4+ years of related engineering experience, preferably at a consumer goods company
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and root-cause analysis skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.
- Excellent oral communication & report, business correspondence & procedure-writing skills.
- Ability to be a team player and work independently
- Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive change.
- Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization around design verification and validation activities; production &process controls; Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA), consumer complaints, and product improvement activities.
- Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation & conflict resolution skills, ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate & implement a strategy to ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated understanding of product development lifecycles, design change and document change control, product and process verification and validation methodologies, and manufacturing / production process control methodologies.
- External Focus: Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in the industry/function - Clear thinker: Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed & accuracy based on best available information & communicating priorities clearly & concisely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SharePoint a plus

Job Overview:
The QEHS Manager is accountable for the Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety Program at the site. Direct report to the Plant Director, the QEHS Manager provides site leadership in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Environmental Compliance, Health and Safety of employees.
Specifically this individual is accountable for the development and implementation of strategies, systems and programs to be executed by site leaders towards the goals of zero health and safety incidents, perfectly safe food as defined by FSMA, six sigma Quality performance, and 100% compliance to all FDA, EPA and OSHA regulations.
Location: This position is located at our Sacramento, CA plant.
Position Responsibilities
- Advanced understanding of GMP, HACCP, HARP-C, Safe Quality Food Principles, Food Defense Principles, Quality Management Systems.
- Prepare, review and submit compliance reports to local, state and federal environmental regulatory agencies.
- Manage and update all environmental programs and permits for wastewater discharge, storm water, hazardous waste, SPCC, and other regulatory requirements as they pertain to the specific location.
- Lead execution and improvement of all Quality Assurance and EHS Systems, Programs, Policies and Procedures.
- Lead execution of a strong CAPA (Corrective Action / Preventative Action) program that drives site improvement in Quality, Environmental Health and Safety.
- Develop the necessary training modules to ensure that training personnel and employees understand and can execute established procedures while meeting all FDA, EPA, OSHA, DOT and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) requirements.
- Manage OSHA recordkeeping database and provide quantitative and qualitative monthly reports and other necessary governmental reports.
- Regularly inspect and monitor the facility to ensure that the plant is fully operating in compliance with FSMA, FDA GMP, OSHA, EPA regulations and GFSI guidelines.
- Lead the root cause analysis of accidents and incidents and collaborate with peers to develop strategies to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents.
- Ability to establish and manage departments operating budget, including but not limited to Headcount, Compensation, Material & Supplies, Repair & Maintenance, and Professional Fees.
- Lead site incident management (with support from Corporate QEHS) with regards to food safety, environmental compliance and safety. Examples include FDA Recall, OSHA and EPA notifications.
- Understand and apply moderately complex mathematical concepts, to include statistics, in support of continuous improvement and statistical process control efforts
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Requirements:
- 5 years of previous supervision experience in Quality Assurance, Production, or EHS areas of the food and beverage, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred from accredited institution in business, food safety, occupational safety, environmental management, or engineering.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Minitab, etc.)
- Previous experience using SAP or a similar system
- Previous experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and ability to lead the development of a visual management workplace.

What you will do:
- Culture & Change Champion; inspire team members to appreciate and be accountable for our safety culture;
- Develop environmental, safety and industrial hygiene plans, policies, and procedures that result in compliance with local, State, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations and conform with Company policies; Maintains a system for reporting, monitoring, and correcting serious safety problems;
- Serves as primary liaison between applicable regulatory and government agencies; Oversees health & safety, environmental, and DOT audits of facilities and recommends preventative measures; Ensures all significant near misses, injuries, and safety events are investigated and abatement measures implemented;
- Administer Workers Compensation program and compiles and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies;
- Implements training programs that lead to increased proficiency in safe practices, promote safety consciousness, assures environmental compliance and advance continuous improvement; Drive implementation of strategic EHS initiatives; identifies elements of change required to support the EHS strategy; encourages management team to balance short-term demands with long term benefits of strategic EHS programs;
- Establish a process that lead to reduce incident rates and environmental impacts while reducing company costs (e.g., amount of workers compensation, etc.); establishes order of priority for EHS initiatives and drives their implementation in cooperation of department managers, EHS specialists, safety teams, and other personnel;
- Establishes and measure specific safety and health goals and objectives for the company and departments ensuring the targets are consistent with corporate strategies and objectives;
- Analyzes safety processes throughout facility; seek to identify opportunities for improvement; identify incident root cause; recommend changes to work flow, equipment or other processes; and implement support systems/processes (I.e. safety rewards and recognitions, safety communications, etc.) to achieve safety objectives;
- Communicate and celebrate successes and foster company-wide commitment to safety and continuous environmental improvement; Educate EHS best practices, prevention and how to work around/with hazardous substances;
- Formulates, maintains and executes Keurig Dr Pepper emergency plans and responds to safety and employee emergencies. Complies with Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures.
