The Multi-Modality Technologist is credentialled to perform at a minimum of two (2) procedures: CT & X-Ray. This position must support the second or additional modalities on a routine basis by being available to work in the modality and must be able to provide on call coverage for these modalities. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and functions as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities /tasks may be delegated to Surgical Technologists, Patient Care Associated, Guest Associates and Anesthesia Technologists. Qualifications: Required Education: Associates' degree. Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position. Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered. Overview: The Perioperative Cardiothoracic-Vascular procedures Service Line Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination of care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic-vascular procedures. This position educates, and trains the team members associated with the designated specialty to include the nurses and surgical technologists. Assists in maintenance of service line equipment, instruments and supplies by working closely with the leaders in those areas. Functions as a value analysis liaison between the surgeons and the materials management facilitator. The Perioperative cardiothoracic-vascular procedures Service Line Coordinator will engage in quality improvement initiatives as deemed appropriate by the leadership team. Coordination of the daily surgical schedule (Charge Nurse) will be assigned as needed. May also be assigned to other procedures when designated service line volumes are low. Qualifications:

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. The Spec Clinical Education-OR-RN performs outcomes analysis of current programs to determine needed modifications to content to enhance patient outcomes, staff performance, clinical competence and professional development. Facilitates an environment that values and enhances research, knowledge and professional development. Leads and provides support to direct reports, which includes the Laser Safety Nurse, Division Nurse Educators, Perioperative Informatics Nurse, and Clinical Quality Nurse Leaders.

Responsibilities:

Responsibl e for clinical decisions for all perioperative information technology (IT) systems. Functions as an internal consultant, resource person, and instructor to all levels of personnel in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the health system and the Information Technology department. Utilizing evidence-based resources, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure standardized, required, and timely documentation.

Leads and plan performance improvement and quality improvement initiatives which support the development of educational programs to facilitate research into nursing practices

Qualifications:

Required Education: Master's degree. Specific course work: Nursing, Education, or Health related field Preferred Education: Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Necessary Skills: 1. Proven experience setting the strategic direction of competency-based learning in multi-disciplinary health care 2.
