Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).

• Provides data in relation to environmental factors which inhibit or facilitate patient care.
• Provides SSM with data to plan and monitor service line budget, enabling service line to function within budgeting constraints.

For Facilities With Specialty Accreditation Requirements

• Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet Department of Labor’s MEDIUM duty standard (MEDIUM WORK- exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly).
• Able to bend, stoop, reach and be capable of normal rotation, standing and walking for an 8-12 hour shift.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds and pushing loaded carts weighting in excess of 200 pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Physical working environment may include, but not limited to, any of the following hazards: high pressure steam, chemical, electrical, mechanical, bio-waste, stress, back strain, body fluids, etc

Position Summary:

Primary functions are to administer skilled nursing care for clients of all ages in their place of residence, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency; and assume the responsibility for coordination of care.

Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

The Registered Nurse on Med Surg Tele is responsible for providing care that is respectful and responsive to the patient’s values in clinical decision making. Performs completely and accurately including, but no limited to, physical (i.e. assessment for pain, skin breakdown, risk for falls), psychological (i.e. cognitive and communicative skills or development), social status and other patient needs.
