Position Summary:

Obtains, records, and reports vital signs as indicated during the administration of medications.

Records and restocks medication inventories, as needed, and requested.

Re-orders resident medications from pharmacy, as needed, and requested.

Documents pertinent information in the resident record, completes incident reports as indicated.

Demonstrates awareness of proper infection control practices by using Universal Precautions and following policies and procedures of the company, including OSHAs Blood-Borne Pathogen Standard.

Communicates with residents, staff and others in an accurate and factual manner and seeks clarification from or refers questions to Resident Care Director, when indicated.

Prioritizes and provides verbal encouragement and support to residents.

Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, families, and associates.

Participates in and attends all required in-service training and education programs as scheduled.

Position Overview


Industrial Sales & Manufacturing, Inc. (ISM) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Metal Finisher / Paint & Powder Coating Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing, finishing, painting, and/or powder coating a wide variety of metal components while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.


The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, powder coating, metal finishing, or fabrication and take pride in producing high-quality finished products that meet customer specifications.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Prepare metal parts for finishing through grinding, sanding, deburring, masking, cleaning, and other surface preparation methods.
  • Remove imperfections such as burrs, weld marks, rough edges, and surface defects to achieve required finish standards.
  • Apply liquid paint, powder coatings, and other protective or decorative finishes according to work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Mix, measure, and prepare paints and coatings following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain finishing equipment including spray guns, powder coat booths, curing ovens, grinders, sanders, and polishing equipment.
  • Monitor coating thickness, coverage, adhesion, and finish quality throughout the application process.
  • Inspect completed parts for quality, color consistency, coverage, and defects; perform touch-up and rework activities when necessary.
  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and production documents to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Safely handle, label, store, and dispose of paints, coatings, solvents, and chemicals in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate production, material usage, and maintenance records.
  • Ensure work areas, equipment, and finishing booths remain clean, organized, and production-ready.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE (including respirators) and support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet customer requirements and production schedules.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications


Required

    • Design and administer surveys to assess program effectiveness and gather feedback from participants.

  • Program Participation:
    • Commit to specific timeframes to be present at program locations, ensuring hands-on involvement in after school programs.

Kids in the Game offers seasonal internships throughout the year. Internships are typically 14-18 weeks long and Interns would be expected to work between 25-35 hours per week in person at our office location. Below are the dates for each season.

  • Fall 2026: September 8th - December 18th
  • Spring 2027: January 11th - May 21st
  • Summer 2027: May 24th - August 27th

Compensation: Internships are unpaid opportunities for first term interns. Unpaid interns will receive a $200-$300 completion bonus at the end of their term. There are also potential opportunities to extend for a second term, paid internship. We can also offer class credit where applicable.
