Position Summary:

This position reports to the Service Manager. As a Boom Truck Operator, responsibilities include providing service, installation and/or repair to customers propane tanks and/or LP piping.

Essential Functions:

  • As a Boom Truck Operator this position performs Safety & efficiency tests, propane tank sets and hook-ups, tank pick-ups and evacuations in accordance with applicable codes, safety regulations and Dead River Company policies.
  • Eliminates call-backs and reduces liability by ensuring that all work is performed safely and accurately.
  • As a Delivery Driver this position safely and productively makes deliveries of both heating oil and propane according federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Actively participates in training programs to gain new skills in order to be most effective in role.
  • Promotes image as a trusted advisor through a neat appearance, clean uniform, and timely, safe and courteous service.
  • Promotes Dead River company products and services. Advises customers on best options for specific needs.
  • Maintains a clean and well-organized vehicle. Ensures that all tools and equipment are in safe operating condition.
  • On call and overtime may be required to meet customer demand.
  • Performs all job functions according to state and federal regulations and company policy. Reports all accidents, spills, and liability claims

Contacts:

This position regularly interact with customers, other employees (dispatchers, other technicians, drivers, and office personnel) and equipment and parts supply vendors. These interactions will be timely to allow for appropriate follow through. Employees will show empathy where appropriate.

Decisions Made:

This position make decisions regarding the appropriate steps required for transporting and installing LP tanks, performing safety inspections, commissioning equipment and decisions related to the safe delivery on petroleum products. Complex problems or unusual customer related issues are referred to the Service Manager or other appropriate parties.

Safety Considerations:

Safety considerations relate to safe operation of the service vehicle or delivery truck, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment, proper lifting of heavy parts or equipment, and general observation of the surroundings where work is being done. Icy, slippery conditions are a primary concern during winter.

Equipment Used:

Industry related equipment including all types of hand tools, testing equipment, soldering torch, power tools, evacuation equipment, along with appropriate gauges and meters. Delivery vehicle and hose/nozzle, loading rack, priming equipment, wrenches, safety equipment (glasses, gloves, hard hat, shovel, speedy dry), and chock blocks.

Work Environment:

Temperatures may vary from below zero to above 90 degrees, depending on the time of year. Since the job involves working with devices that burn petroleum products, there is some exposure to the product and fumes. The work area ranges from the vehicle to commercial and consumer sites that are occasionally cramped with little headroom. Delivery drivers also encounter all kinds of weather conditions along with snow and ice.

Physical Requirements Analysis:

  • The position requires frequent driving, standing, walking, and sitting
  • There is occasional to frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing
  • There is frequent use of the hands/arms to reach, feel, handle, lift or pull

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of ASSC's services and customer issues and needs through in-house training, networking and research.
  • Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence.
  • Process proposals, new customer set-ups and complete all paperwork in accordance with approved and standardized procedures.
  • Conduct new customer kickoff meetings by contacting customer, Service Manager, and assigned technician to notify all parties involved of ASSC's policies and educated internal staff of contract inclusions and exclusions and to familiarize technician with customer information and building logistics prior to going to the building.
  • Assist Service Dispatchers with updating current customer information.
  • Assist Billing with invoice issues and collections as needed.
  • Attend association meetings, Company meetings, and sales meeting as required.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented billing analyst to join our finance team in supporting newly acquired M&A firms. Travel is required for this position. This role is ideal for someone with billing experience who is interested in travel and enjoys working closely with newly onboarded firms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, take initiative, manage multiple responsibilities, and remain patient in a dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact and bring structure to the onboarding process for new M&A firms.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the dedicated billing analyst for newly acquired firms during the first three months post-acquisition
  • Support billing training during Aprio Week
  • Review and correct inaccurate billing information during the initial three-month onboarding period
  • Conduct virtual open office hours throughout the first three months to support onboarding and billing questions
  • Provide regular updates on training progress and billing activities throughout the onboarding period
  • Coordinate the transition of each acquired firm to its assigned billing analyst following the initial three-month onboarding period
  • Identify opportunities to enhance, standardize, and document billing processes and procedures
  • Monthly travel required- possibly up to 50%

Qualifications:

  • Previous billing experience required
  • Experience with Practice Engine is strongly preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter with strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Strong judgment and effective problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in a professional services or technology environment is preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
